Gretel batista

Ms.  Batista was born in Cuba, where she began her training at the School of Cuban National Ballet. She moved to the United States with her family and continued her training on full scholarships in St. Petersburg, at the Academy of Ballet Arts, and graduated from the Pinellas County Center for the Arts Magnet School as a Dance Major. She trained and performed with America’s Ballet School prior to starting her professional career. Ms. Batista’s classical repertoire includes Sleeping Beauty, Giselle, Paquita, Firebird, Diana and Acteon, Don Quixote, Le Corsaire, Flames of Paris, Flower Festival, Tchaikovsky Pas de deux, Black Swan, as well as Contemporary/Modern Ballet works. Ms. Batista has been awarded several times in the Youth America Grand Prix, semi-finals and New York City Finals and the American Dance Competition, including Gold Medal, 1st Place.  She has been the recipient of multiple scholarships and has been invited to perform in several National and International Galas. Ms. Batista loves performing and is comfortable in classical, neo-classical, modern and contemporary works.
