Ramil Bagmanov

Mr. Bagmanov is a graduate of Rudolf Nureyev Academy in Ufa, Bashkortostan.  Immediately following graduation he became a member of the National Bashkortostan State Opera and Ballet Theatre (2005-2011) and National Tatarstan State Academic Opera and Ballet Theatre (2008-2012). A tall skilled dancer in pas de deux work, Mr. Bagmanov frequently partners Ms. Ponomareva in leading roles.  Trained in the classics, Mr. Bagmanov is also very comfortable in contemporary roles.  Mr. Bagmanov was recently featured in Kim Tuttle’s Phantom and as the ‘Cavalier’ in Nutcracker.

Favorite roles include ‘Prince Siegfried’ in Swan Lake, ‘Prince Desire’ in Sleeping Beauty, ‘Romeo’ inRomeo and Juliet, ‘Albrech’ in Giselle and ‘Solor’ in La Bayadere.

Hometown:
My hometown is Ulyanovsk. This city stands on the Volga River.   It is the birthplace of  Vladimir Lenin.

What I do in my spare time:
In my spare time I love to relax with friends, commune with nature. Read books, listen to my favorite music. A little bit about fishing.

Favorite movie:
“The Lord Of The Rings”  from J.R.R Tolkien’s book.

Favorite dance role:
‘Albrecht’ in “Giselle”

Favorite vacation place:
A country house, where we often come with friends.

Why I dance:
I dance, because this is my life. To be on stage and bear the image of role for the audience, this is for me is a great pleasure.    I loved this profession before when I went to school.
