Born in Moscow, Ms. Pivotskaya graduated from the Vaganova Ballet Academy and immediately joined the Saint-Petersburg State Academic Ballet Theatre. She performed with the Mikhailovsky Theatre before joining the Croatian National Ballet Theatre as principal.
Ms. Pivotskaya danced ‘Odette/Odile’ in Swan Lake, ‘Nikia and Gamzatti’ in La Bayadere, ‘Kitri’ in Don Quixote, ‘Sugar Plum Fairy’ in Nutcracker, ‘Myrtha’ in Giselle, ‘Aurora’ in Sleeping Beauty and lead in Le Corsaire, Napoli, A Midsummer Nights Dream, Bolero, Carmen, Carmina Burana and Tchaikovsky Pas de Deux.
Ms. Pivotskaya is a strong passionate dancer; well suited to DANB’s repertoire.
