Marite Fuentes

Ms. Fuentes started her artistic education at the Elementary Ballet School of Havana in 2006 and in 2010 danced in The Nutcracker with the Cuban National Ballet. After graduating, Ms. Fuentes danced professionally with the Cuban National Ballet Company for 8 years performing classical and contemporary roles on tours to Puerto Rico, Costa Rica, Mexico, El Salvador, United States, Spain, France and China. In 2022, she was invited to dance the role of Snow Queen in The Nutcracker for Ruth Page Center of Arts, returning in their 2023 production as the Snow Queen and Dewdrop. Ms. Fuentes has also performed in Paquita and La Fille Mal Gardee with the Cuba Classical Ballet of Miami and was invited to perform with DANB in last season’s performance of Swan Lake. Ms. Fuentes is thrilled to join DANB as Soloist this season.
