TALES RIBEIRO​

Tales Ribeiro was born in Brazil and trained at Studio Arte Danca in Divinόpolis. He participated in numerous ballet competitions both nationally and internationally including Passo de Arte Internacional, Festival de Internacional de Danςa Goias, Passo de Arte Grand Prix, and Festival de Danςa de Joinville, of which the last two he excelled winning first, second, and third prizes. Additionally, he has received special awards such as “Best Dancer” in five different competitions between 2017 and 2019. He joined the Jazz Company Emaline Laia in 2018 as a soloist where he performed for a year before joining Dance Alive. In February 2024 he choreographed and performed “At First Sight” for DANB which premiered at UF’s Phillips Center for the Performing Arts. Mr. Ribeiro has been promoted to Principal Dancer for his fourth season with DANB and teaches contemporary dance and ballet at Pofahl’s Studios, and he also serves as a Co-Director and Choreographer for Dance Alive’s student performing group The Next Generation.
