
Nur Erenguc

Nur Erenguc is originally from Turkiye (Turkey). She lived in the U.S. most of her adult life and the last forty-two years in Gainesville, Florida.
Her higher education includes degrees from Middle East Technical University, Ankara, Turkiye and the Indiana University in Bloomington, Indiana. Nur was employed as an internal auditor by the Ohio State University in Columbus, Ohio before moving to Gainesville, Florida in 1982. At the University of Florida, she worked as an Accountant, a Lecturer for the Fisher School of Accounting and for over 20 years as the Chief Audit Executive. In that role, her efforts have had a lasting impact on the University’s commitment to accountability and transparency.
As the mother of three daughters, including twin daughters Arzu Erenguc and Naz Erenguc who currently reside in Gainesville, Nur participated in many ballet recitals and gymnastics meets and also led the UF Turkish Students in Turkish folk dancing performances.
During the last ten years since her retirement, Nur spent most of her time travelling and spending time with her three grandchildren Levent, Julide and Esra.
